uni POSCA has celebrated the diversity of European culture
thanks to its sponsorship of a flagship street festival.
Held over the May bank holiday weekend in Manchester, Eurocultured
featured work from over 1,000 European artists to showcase the very
best in live art as well as dance, performance and music from
across the continent.
As part of the sponsorship, POSCA marker pens were used to brighten
up retail units and cobbled streets by completely transforming
windows, brick walls and metal shutters.
Talented POSCA artists such as Matt Jones were on hand to
demonstrate the qualities of the pen and pupils from St Ambrose
Barlow High School in Swinton penned a selection of European sights
on the windows of an empty shop unit at Piccadilly Place.
Stuart Barker, marketing manager at Mitsubishi Pencil Co., said:
"We are pleased to have supported a project that widely recognises
POSCA as an essential item for any artist. POSCA's range of
vibrant colours and line widths have created some visually stunning
pieces of art that were exclusively revealed to audiences at
Eurocultured. The work has revitalised this part of
Manchester and we would urge everyone visiting the area to take a
look for themselves."
